Redistricting Fall 2021

In Fall 2021 I began to hear (again, homework from Hon. Candi CdeBaca) about the importance of the city's redistricting process, where we redraw council district boundary lines every 10 years (according to the city charter!).  I worked with my friend and neighbor Aly Goodman to develop a series of programs where we engaged community members in understanding this complex city redistricting process and supported community members to draw their own maps.  We even laminated some physical maps so people could do tactile learning and draw their map with a dry erase marker before submitting it to the city's portal.  We had people in a bar drawing maps! MY NERD HEART REJOICED!
